Club History


The club has formed in 1931 as part of the Cullompton Hotel complex.

Only the businessmen of the town were invited to join. Games were played on Thursday (early closing) and Saturday afternoons.

The green was Cumberland turf and recognized as one of the best in the County and as such hosted many representative games.

In the late 80’s the club purchased the green and clubhouse and began a staged expansion of the clubhouse and car park, culminating in building four changing rooms to celebrate the club’s 75th anniversary in 2006.
